'Coronation Street’ legend and British screen icon Kevin Kennedy, most famous for his role as Norman ‘Curly’ Watts and now West End musical 'We Will Rock You,' has endorsed the ‘David Ross Acting Academy’ saying....” “The fantastic curriculum and teaching style at the David Ross Acting Academy really allows children and young actors to get in touch with their performance ability and successfully develop their acting technique.” He went on to say “I know David personally and I see his vision for all his students nationally." Kevin a veteran of 'Coronation Street' spent 20 successful years in the popular soap opera which saw him in involved in many demanding and challenging story lines. Kevin has just appeared in the Xtra factor and can currently be seen across the UK in panto. Keven has also returned to soaps, but this time a different kind of soap . Congratulations to Suzannah Cryer who launched the 'David Ross Acting Academy' in West Sussex in April 2009. Suzannah, a talented and experienced LAMDA trained actor and theatre practitioner says she is excited to be part of the David Ross Acting Academy network. Suzannah's CV includes work in Ricky Gervais's 'The Office.
Update January 2009
After just 15 weeks Frances has decided to run her David Ross Acting Academy on a full time basis. Frances says, "I would never have believed that I would be able to walk away from my position as a Head of English and Drama in such a short time! This business is so rewarding on so many levels. This fun business is not just generating a fabulous income but its’ given me my life back!"

David Ross was presented with the Business of the Year Award at the 2008 North West Entrepreneur Awards held in Manchester. David Ross Acting Academy competed successfully against 30 businesses in the same category for the accolade ‘Business of the Year.’ The event sponsored by HSBC and Barclays is an annual event which sees some of the most successful entrepreneurs and businesses in the region, get together. In attendance were celebrities from the BBC’s The Apprentice and The Secret Millionaire. David was very proud to receive this accolade and said that "it was great that all his students attending his schools would also share in the recognition the academy received for its work with children and teenagers in both developing acting technique, developing personal and communication skills, as well as opening doors of opportunity for castings and auditions for his young performers." The students at the David Ross Acting Academy are bright and talented. They are all aware of the difficulties and obstacles they face in being successful in the world of professional acting so we try to teach them as much as possible about the industry and castings as well as hints and tips they can use to achieve success within the industry and progressing independently.

Update April 2008
David Ross, Director and Executive Principal appeared on Manchester Breakfast Television recently. In his interview David discussed the idea of franchising both in the US and about his past experiences as a Teacher of Performing Arts, which ultimately led him to the formation of ‘The David Ross Acting Academy.’ David acknowledged the support of his family who are also very successful in business and who now play a significant role in the marketing of the franchise opportunity. David is excited to have been nominated as one of the top 30 and top 3 finalist entrepreneurs in the North West and relishes the prospect of raising his company profile in the public eye. Moving on to talk about making the business attractive to a prospective franchisee David describes his links with UK casting directors and the opportunities he has made for his students at his own academy. One of the fundamental questions asked in the interview was, “What are you looking for in your potential franchisees?” to which David replied, “We are looking for people who are obviously ambitious and who have some experience as either a Drama Teacher, Acting Coach or someone who has worked within the Theatre Arts.”
