The David Ross Acting Academy provides it's students, aged 6-18, with evening and weekend one hour acting technique classes. These classes encompass both a theoretical and a practical understanding of acting as an art form.
The main focus of The David Ross Acting Academy classes is ‘acting technique’ for both stage and screen performance. Our curriculum is exciting and explores many different theatrical variations giving the child a wide skills base.
Each lesson is also designed to inspire and develop confidence, self esteem, group work and communication skills and enables the child to participate without the feeling of discomfort or embarrassment. We encourage all new students to bring their friends to the class and both principals and existing students look forward to receiving new members each.
We firmly believe that each new child can bring something exciting and interesting each class. The David Ross Acting Academy provides a safe environment for learning and a clear and well structured curriculum. All pupils are taught from the beginning to respect and care for each other as friends and fellow actors.
Classes run throughout the year and operate on a termly basis, with each term having twelve weeks of teaching and one week for half term. The academy is closed for all holidays
All students are expected to maintain good attendance and punctuality.
