We are so pleased for Glenn Hyslop from the Manchester Academy.
Simon Powell, screenwriter and director is scouting the David Ross Acting Academy for the lead roles in his new film Rose Gold. Congratulations to all the students who took part. Rose Gold begins shooting this summer.
The David Ross Acting Academy would like to welcome cyclist Katie Fearnehough to it's acting classes. In 2007 Katie secured herself a place on the Olympic Talent Team. She also secured a place on the youth endurance squad. Katie is not the only celebrity in her family, as her cousin is Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan who plays Tina McIntyre.
Welcome back to Frances Andrew. Frances was one of the first ever students to attend 'The David Ross Acting Academy' back in 2004. Frances is now training to be a successful actress at Northhampton and has returned to Manchester to work with 'The David Ross Acting Academy' towards the completion of her final modules. She is on target for a first class honors degree, so we wish her every success.
Congratulations to Emma Warburton for being cast in the new West End production of 'Punk Rock.'
Punk Rock is the powerful new play by Lyric Artistic Associate Simon Stephens. Drawing on his past experience as a teacher, Punk Rock sees Stephens present a group of educated, articulate, aspirational young people and reveal, step-by-step, the dislocation, disjunction and latent violence simmering under the surface of success. Emma was seen taking on the role of 'Lucy Frances' back in October at the Royal Exchange in Manchester. She starred along side Henry Lloyd-Hughes of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the TV show, The Inbetweeners and Nicholas Banks also of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.
